Q&A: If you tie dye two shirts, can you wash them together after?
Question by : If you tie dye two shirts, can you wash them together after?
Okay, so yesterday me and my friend made tie dye shirts. they’ve been sitting there for about 15 hours, so when I’m done i know i have to rinse the shirt and stuff and then wash them in detergent, but since we both made them can we wash them like together? I’m just not sure because i don’t know if you can wash them together or if the dye will get mixed up.

You can get those strips where thay catch any colour that runs so you can put any colours together. I don’t know how well they work though.

I think that you leave them tied and then rinse them by hand under a running faucet of warm water until the water runs clear. Then you can untie them and wash as the directions say to do. But, I would rinse each shirt by itself first.
