Washing in cold water should keep the red from bleeding.
If the white’s already pinked, the only way to get it white again would be to isolate it (wax paper, alum. foil, etc)
and bleach just the pink parts. Good luck.

Q&A: What happens when you tie dye a garment that’s printed with white ink?
Question by randomobject2003: What happens when you tie dye a garment that’s printed with white ink?
Hi – If you have a white shirt which has a design printed with white ink and you tie dye it, does the white design change colors or does the white ink act as sort of a “resist” and stay white while the material around it changes colors?

Depends on the type of lettering used for the shirt, some are more resistant than others. When you dye a shirt, keep in mind you are dying fabric. Fabric is very porous so it takes the dye in. Lettering may change color but may become less saturated than the rest of the shirt.

First, you have to make sure the garment you want to dye is capable of being dyed. Typically, natural fibers will dye better than synthetic ones.
A good one to use is good ol’ RIT dye, which can be bought at any drug store in the sewing section. It’s very cheap–I think about a dollar a package, which will dye about 4 big garments.
